RWANDA
Rwanda is a landlocked country in East Africa, known for its stunning landscapes, including rolling hills and numerous lakes. Its capital is Kigali. Rwanda is often called the “Land of a Thousand Hills” due to its mountainous terrain.
The country has a complex history, marked by the tragic genocide in 1994, during which an estimated 800,000 people were killed in a span of about 100 days. Since then, Rwanda has made significant strides in recovery and development, becoming one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies.
Rwanda is also recognized for its commitment to conservation, particularly its efforts to protect the endangered mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park. The country has made notable advancements in health, education, and technology, positioning itself as a regional leader in innovation and sustainability.
